Behind the Kuusijärvi Lomamökit is the entrepreneurial couple Kaisa and Kalle Kankaanpää. Kaisa is a native of Pihlajavesi, and even as a child, she spent a lot of time at the cabins, as they are located right next to her childhood home. "When I was little, I never would have thought that one day I would be running the rental business of the cabins myself and be responsible for their maintenance," says Kaisa.
Another remarkable event was that Kaisa and Kalle met by chance for the first time at Artunpirtti (then Kalliopirti) New Year's party in 2008. Kaisa was celebrating the new year's eve with her friends in Eetuntupa (formerly Anteronpirtti), and Kalle was visiting Artunpirtti party only in passing. Fate brought them together that night, and the shared story began. In retrospect, it seems incredible that we met at Artunpirtti at the New Year's party in 2008 - and today we still meet in the same scenery, of course because of work! Life can sometimes surprise you.
The cabin names also carry meaning, as they are named after Kaisa and Kalle’s sons as well as Kaisa’s brother. “The cabins already had names originally, and we wanted to keep up that tradition by simply renaming them after members of our family.”
We do this work with love and try our best to serve vacationers and meet their needs. Feedback is particularly important to us, as we are only at the beginning of the tourism industry. We want to offer our customers relaxed togetherness, carefree vacations and unforgettable experiences.
